Lisa has joined the team at Sydney Community Services as the Domestic Assistance Coordinator, organising our linen service and its volunteer team as well as introducing our new Domestic Assistance service to the Lane Cove community over the next few months.
“This role is a chance to deepen my understanding of the importance of community and people’s independence within it so it’s great to be working on services supporting that independence,” says Lisa.
Lisa has previously worked in roles with a focus on nurturing customer relationships and a long-term loyalty. She has worked as an account manager for a national conference and training company, and in executive assistant roles in the UK and New Zealand before settling in Australia to raise her family. She’s also enjoyed a stint for several years managing an Australian porcelain brand, Mud Australia, building relationships with the local community.
She thrives on connecting with people! Volunteering for many years at her children’s primary school and serving on many fundraising committees proved an invaluable experience. She has a deep love for learning ancient and contemporary teachings, mindfulness practices and emotional intelligence, and loves getting out into the great outdoors whenever she can.
