Women NSW is working with Treasury and Service NSW to implement a $10 million Return to Work Program announced as part of the 2020-21 Budget. The Program will support unemployed women across the state to return to paid employment.

Female dominated industries and roles have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. The Return to Work Program is designed to provide tailored support to women seeking to re-enter the workforce after a period of absence.

One-off grants of up to $5000 will be available to help eligible women get back into paid work. Grants can be used for education and training, mentoring, transportation and childcare.

Each successful applicant will be supported by a Return to Work coordinator, who will help them to develop their own Return to Work Plan.

Women can register their interest for the Return to Work Program on the Service NSW website where they will be updated when further information becomes available.
