SCS can assist you with shopping in three ways – 1. By using our Phone Shopping service and allowing us to place an order for delivery on your behalf; 2. By using or Village Bus service or, 3. Using our Social Support for an Individual service, which means you will be transported and accompanied by a support worker while you shop.

Free to phone in. All grocery, delivery and supermarket fees must be paid for by the consumer.

Village Shopping Bus


Lane Cove

Wednesdays from 9:00 to 12:00.

Getting There
This is a door-to-door service. Consumers will be picked-up from their home and dropped off at the Lane Cove Library. After completing their shopping consumers will be picked-up from the Lane Cove Library and dropped-off to their own home. Volunteers are on hand to assist consumers with their shopping bags.

$7.00 per person.

Social Support Individual

Our dedicated Social Support team provides weekly/fortnightly/monthly scheduled accompanied services to consumers. We assist with purchasing groceries, clothing and pharmaceuticals and also provide accompanied support for banking, bill payments and other appointments (medical appointments can be added to the regular schedule).  The service also includes one-on-one support with companionship-based home visits, accompanied outings tailored to the consumer’s needs and phone monitoring services. Our support team is culturally and linguistically diverse (Italian, Mandarin, Korean, Farsi and Armenian).
