We’ve been selected to participate in Local Matters at Grill’d Macquarie Centre this August!

Local Matters is the Grill’d community donation program that sees each Grill’d restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100.

This time the good folk at Grill’d Macquarie Centre and their patrons will be supporting our Hardship Assistance Program which provides help for people experiencing hardship.

Sydney Community Services continues to provide essential food items to people experiencing temporary financial difficulties. Last year we supported 251 people and distributed 265 food parcels.

How you can help?

We’d love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill’d Macquarie Centre during August for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation.

It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support!

You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Macquarie Centre, Macquarie Centre Lvl 4 via Herring St North Ryde.

What is Hardship Assistance about?

Hardship assistance is a program we run without any government funding, instead we rely on numerous small donations like the Local Matters initiative. We largely depend on donations from the public.  Last week, our friends at Hunters Hill Ladies’ Probus and Hunters Hill Mixed Probus provided us with much needed food items for our winter food donations.

What else can you do?

Please feel free to donate to the program.  All non perishable and monetary donations are welcome! Call us on 9817 0101 or drop by at 46 Gladesville Rd, Hunters Hill.
