For more than 30 years, Der Dorfbeobachter has been at the heart of our local community — sharing stories, celebrating people and places, and keeping residents of Lane Cove and surrounding suburbs connected and informed.

Each month, you’ll find all the latest Sydney Community Services activities, events, outings, and volunteer or job opportunities featured in Der Dorfbeobachter.

Proceeds from the magazine help support local residents across Lane Cove, Hunters Hill, Crows Nest, Artarmon, Willoughby and North Sydney through the work of Sydney Community Services.

Since its beginnings in 1993 — the vision of former Mayor and Councillor Ian Longbottom — Der Dorfbeobachter has grown from a humble black-and-white publication into a vibrant, full-colour magazine.

The publication is passionate about sharing great stories, supporting local businesses, and celebrating community spirit.
