Social Support Program for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities

Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) groups provide vital support for seniors by promoting social connection, cultural identity, and overall well-being. These groups offer a welcoming space where older adults can engage in familiar language and traditions, reducing isolation and enhancing their sense of belonging. By supporting access to information and services in culturally appropriate ways, CALD programs help seniors stay active, informed, and connected within their communities.

At Sydney Community Services we proudly support Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Iranian, and Afghan community groups, offering a welcoming and culturally sensitive environment.

Activities included:

Participants can enjoy a wide range of activities, including day trips, cultural celebrations, group luncheons, gentle exercise and wellness sessions,  craft workshops, educational information sessions, as well as English and computer/smartphone classes.
