Staying Connected
Staying connected and active—both socially and physically—is key to feeling good and living well as we get older.
Spending time with others lifts your spirits, keeps your mind sharp, and brings a real sense of purpose.
Getting out and about, whether it’s a group outing or trying something new, builds confidence and helps you stay connected. Activities such as playing cards, or joining a book club, aren’t just fun—they also help keep your brain engaged and add a nice rhythm to your week.
And when it comes to physical health and wellbeing, regular movement can boost your mood, improve sleep and energy, and help you stay independent so you can keep enjoying the things you love and stay living at home safely, for longer.
Sydney Community Services offers a wide range of activities, events, and outings designed to help you stay connected, involved in the local community, and allow you to catch up with friends—both old and new.
