The Social Support Program for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities is a caring and friendly service which aims to facilitate social inclusion of older people or younger people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. In consultation with community leaders, we design and facilitate a range of social activities which aim to support, promote and enhance the independence, quality of life and well-being of the participants.
Service operating times:
Each group has a Calendar of Activities that is published bi-monthly in the group’s language.
Hispanic Group Day Trip – First Thursday of each month
Hispanic Group Meeting – Third Thursday of each month, 10am – 2pm
Iranian Ladies Group Day Trip – First Friday of each month
Iranian Ladies Group Meeting – Third Friday of each month, 11am – 3pm
Afghan & Iranian Group Day Trip – Second Thursday of each month
Italian Group Meeting – Every Friday of each month, 10am – 2pm
Italian Group Day Trip – Last Thursday of each month
Chinese Group Activities – Date varies
Getting There:
Consumers are expected to make their own way to meeting venues unless it is specifically indicated in the Calendar of Activities that transport is provided by Sydney Community Services.
