Last Thursday, 09 November 2023, Sydney Community Services attended the Aged Care Careers Expo at the Dougherty Community Centre, Chatswood.
We were one of 34 employers in attendance and had the great pleasure of chatting with people about the benefits of a career as a support worker.
Working in aged care makes a real difference to people’s lives so we were able to provide an overview of the qualifications required to become a support worker and what Sydney Community Services can offer as an employer.
It was a fantastic event! We handed out around 50 event bags! We also received numerous enquiries about Support Worker jobs, many from independent Support Workers now looking for the security that working for an organisation gives to staff.
